Where are we?

 

Our agriturismo Santa Barbara is in Gambarare, which is a part of the city of Mira, in the province of Venice.

Venice, a marvellous city unlike any other in the world, is only 15 km from our farm and is easily reached by public transportation (bus, boat or train.)

Padua and its treasures, like the Scrovegni Chapel, the Sant’Antonio cathedral and the elegant atmosphere of its famous squares, is 28 km away; it is also easily reached by bus.

Chioggia, also called “The Little Venice” with its exquisite historical centre, impressive fish market (one of the biggest in Northern Italy), and very long beach, is about 38 km away.

A lovely “mini cruise” by direct boat, which leaves about 5 km from Santa Barbara, takes you to the Lido beach, between the Venetian Lagoon and the Adriatic Sea, a lovely destination for a day at the beach!

We will also be happy to help you plan a day trip in our wonderful Veneto region: for example, to the “Prosecco road” with the little jewel town of Asolo; to the Euganean hills and the exquisite town of Arquà Petrarca; to the villas of Palladio (a famous architect of the 17th century); to Treviso with the splendid town of Bassano del Grappa; or to thousands of other fascinating places!
